Izzi Charters, Mississauga Ontario

Well my first Great Lakes Charter Rental was a success.

In late July my buddy Tadam and a group of friends rented a charter service from Izzi Charters based out of Mississauga in Port Credit.

We got to the dock at 6AM and definitely hungover but our captain awaited us ready to roll.

Now this is one of the few times I have fished Lake Ontario and not got my teeth rocked out of my head by the waves trying to catch trophy smallies. Today we were on the hunt for big salmon in the west end of the lake.

We cruised for about 40 minuets off shore and started dropping downriggers and BOOM the first bait got smashed and the drag started screaming. Tadam was hooked up on his first ever salmon.

Now as things usually go things went calm after our first bite so as the boat trolled around the boys went inside for snooze and some coffee.

Another 30 minuets went by or so and a rod started screaming and Izzi our captain grabbed a rod and handed it to the next guy. The BAM a double header another rod screams and another!! Lining us up for a triple header. The crew knew what they were doing kept us organized and kept us from crossing lines.

The boys landed the fish and next thing we knew another rod was screaming and I went and grabbed it and hooked up.

Now I have fought lots of big fish over the years and sit still amazes me how these fresh water silver beauties fight like they are straight out of the ocean, tearing drag and diving deep after 30 minutes I finally got my first salmon landed and man was I excited.

I will say out of all the fishing charters I have done this was by far one of the best. Izzi and his crew knew where the fish were, provided coffee and drinks and were more then accommodating when it came to 7 grown men being hungover on his boat.

If you are ever looking for a great fishing trip one Saturday this is 100% the place.

I am not affiliated with Izzi this is an honest review and would 100% suggest him.
